You’ve closed the door on me, once again. You expect that I’ll always be right here when you return; where you left me. Now, I find myself alone, sitting here in this emptiness once again; but it’s different this time around.
The silence isn’t frightening any more, instead it’s comforting me. It has become my one and only true friend. I begin a dance with the dark abyss before me. It lingers against my skin as we unite as one. Where loneliness once endured, it is now surrendered. I’ve met my match.
I can hear you knocking on the door, you decide to return. Apologies, my dear, but I’m much too busy to unlock the door. I’ve disappeared into the silent abyss.
